A small studio for rooms that last. Four designers and a workshop table in Shoreditch, about ten projects a year.
We started with one flat and a sample board
Ines started Plinth in 2015 after ten years designing hotel interiors, where every decision was made for a stranger. She wanted to work for the people who would actually live in the rooms.
The first project was a one-bedroom flat in Hackney. The sample board from that job still hangs in the studio, and we still start every project the same way: real materials, side by side, in the client’s own light.

What we hold to
Three reasons clients come back

How a project runs
Four stages, one fee agreed up front, and a weekly note so you always know where things are.
Week 1Visit
We walk the rooms with you, measure everything and talk about how you live and what you can spend. Two hours, £250, taken off the fee if you go ahead.
Weeks 2 to 6Concept
Plans, a sample board and a written budget you can hold us to. Nothing is ordered until you sign it off.
Weeks 6 to 12Drawings
Joinery, lighting and finishes drawn for the builders, so nothing is guessed on site.
Month 4 onwardsInstall
We run the trades and deliveries, then style every room before you move back in.
